As you likely know, Crazylegs is a massive fundraiser for the UW Athletic Department that attracts thousands of runners and walker of all abilities. Â I ran it from 2008-2011. Â The band, cheerleaders, and some UW athletes would show up and greet you at the starting line. Â Back then, the 8K route started at the Capitol square and headed up Wisconsin Ave to Langdon. Â The brutal middle two miles were up and down the hills of Observatory drive. Â The race snaked past the McClimon Track/Soccer stadium and ended with a final sprint to the finish line at midfield of Camp Randall. Â I would then throw up in a trash can and eat some fruit slices.

I set my PR in 2009 amidst sporadic downpours. It was a great race and fun environment.
