Top 5 NBA Draft Fits for Bronson Koenig
Philadelphia 76ers
You’d just have to trust the process would work out for Koenig in Philly. Frankly, the best argument for him here is the depth chart. At present, the 76ers have two PGs on the roster both of whom are unrestricted free agents in 2019. Among its trio of SGs, and both reach some form of free agency in 2018 and the third in 2019. The Sixers are building around Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons and there’s been talk of the 6’10” Simmons running point for Philly when he makes his NBA debut. Perhaps, of the five true guards on the roster none are superstars in waiting. The Sixers do have Embiid and former Badger-killer Jahlil Okafor as post scorers so shooting helps open the interior much like we said about Towns in Minnesota. Philly ranked 25th in three-point percentage during the last NBA season which is a bummer for them since they attempted the 7th-most triples. The 76ers were worst in the league in turnovers average more than 16/game during the 2016-17 NBA season. While Philly may nab a PG at #3, if both Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball are off the board, they may go in a different direction and outside shooting from the guard spot would still be a need.
