Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a fun young core and should be playoff participants soon.  If things go really well they might even take a game off Golden State before losing in 5.  Or they’ll just be the NBA version of the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Trendy preseason sleepers who don’t deliver on potential.  The Wolves finished 31-51 last season, 10 games out of playoff position.  Hayes could fit with the Wolves to provide depth inside.  Hayes at PF would shift Karl-Anthony Towns to Center with Andrew Wiggins at SF enabling the Wolves to play smaller ball if they want.  Hayes’ threat as a post scorer and good passing would help Towns get easy buckets.  Frankly, the Wolves don’t need more potential or upside.  A player with Hayes’ maturity and polish would fit in nicely with a team that is ready to start contending sooner rather than later.
