New York Knicks

Look, maybe Hayes would love living in New York but I’m not sure playing for the moribund Knicks franchise would be a fun career move.  Like the Wolves, the Knicks were 31-51 last season, 10 games out of playoff position.  But unlike the Wolves, there is less reason for optimism.  New York has no choice but to build around Kristaps Porzingis.  For now, Carmelo Anthony is on the roster.  The depth chart behind both Anthony and Porzingis is pretty thin and will get thinner come 2018.  Hayes could fit in again using his strong post game and passing to be more of a facilitator for Anthony and Porzingis than scorer.
