Penn State: Saquon Barkely, RB

You could make a case for Penn State QB Trace McSorley who has a great statistical profile in his own right.  But his insufferable baseball-themed TD celebrations are a hard no from me.  Plus, His completion percentage was just 57.9.  Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley led the Big Ten in scoring and may be a Heisman Finalist and future NFL Top 10 pick.  At 5’11” 223 pounds he has the ideal frame for a RB.   He rushed for 1,496 yards just 28 yards behind Justin Jackson for the Big Ten lead, but Barkely had 26 fewer carries.  Barkley boasted a gaudy 5.5 yards per carry average in 2016.  He chipped in 402 receiving yards part of his 1,972 total All Purpose Yards which was easily the best mark in the Big Ten.   An easy choice from Penn State.
