Badger of Honor is working to do some Q&A with our friends from other Big Ten blogs in preparation for the 2017 college football season

Our fourth installment features a Q&A on Maryland Football with Chris Bengel from the Terrapin Station blog.

Badger of Honor very much appreciates Chris taking the time to respond to our questions.   The intent is to give you a snapshot of where things stand for Maryland Football before the 2017 Big Ten football season begins.

Maryland finished 6-7 (3-6) during the 2016 season.  Maryland lost 36-30 to Boston College in the Quick Lane Bowl.  The adjustment to the Big Ten has not always been smooth for the Maryland Terrapins.  The biggest obstacle thus far is that Maryland resides in the more formidable Big Ten East division.

So why should Wisconsin Badger fans be interested in reading about Maryland Terrapins football?  For one, this season Maryland plays in Madison at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday October 21st.

Wisconsin and Maryland last met on the gridiron in 2015, an ugly 31-24 win for the Badgers on the road in College Park.  The teams were tied at 17 at half before two long Badger scoring drives gave Wisconsin some separation they would not relinquish.

This season the Terrapins also take on fellow Big Ten West travelers Minnesota and Northwestern.  So Maryland could be a friend to Wisconsin if they can hang a conference loss on the Golden Gophers and Wildcats.
