A live blog of the Wisconsin Badgers and Florida Atlantic Owls from Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

On Saturday morning the Wisconsin Badgers host the Florida Atlantic Owls in week two of the college football season.  This is our live blog of the action.

Wisconsin is obviously looking for a more comfortable start than whatever that was we witnessed against Utah State.  The final score was impressive but the opening 30 minutes was anything but.

Therefore, on Saturday the most important thing to watch for is a fast start from Wisconsin in all three phases.  That means no more drops, pre-snap penalties, and sacks.

Instead, we’re looking for an offensive in rhythm from the first snap of the game.  Against the Aggies last week there was plenty of blame to be shared from every position group on offense.

In addition, the defense scored a touchdown and only allowed 10 points.  But all 10 Utah State points came in the first quarter.  In fairness, the lone touchdown was off a Wisconsin turnover.

So on Saturday the focus should be pretty simple for the Badgers.  Dominate from the opening kickoff.  Obviously that applies every week.  But it certainly wasn’t what happened against Utah State.

Thus, we want to see if the Badger student-athletes learned from its early semester wakeup call against the Aggies.  Another humbling first half and we’ll have reason to worry about the team’s preparation.

Wisconsin is once again the heavy favorite.  Perhaps this week they’ll look like it from the start.
