Kalanai Sitake had a strong debut (9-4, win).  Safe to say BYU fans are happy with the new hire?

Lawless Republic: Absolutely.  BYU Fans are thrilled with Sitake’s hiring.  Sitake has embraced everything about BYU – and that’s because he was a BYU fan and BYU player.   Bronco Mendenhall won a lot of games but you never got the sense he was a “BYU guy.”  He never really cared about the history of the program or the legacy of the late LaVell Edwards and he was a pretty lackluster recruiter for the Cougars.

On the flip side, Sitake is an excellent recruiter who has fire dup the fan base to a level we hadn’t seen in quite some time.  BYU has plenty of success over the years, so fans are somewhat impatient when things start slow (like this season), but no one is calling for Sitake’s job.  His approval rating is 100 percent.

Badger of Honor Reaction:

I think Wisconsin fans know the feeling well of being blissfully happy to finally settle on the right guy as head coach.  Sounds like we should double date.
