Here comes the brutal end to the season in the Badger basketball season preview. At this point the Badgers are 19-7 in our Badger basketball season preview.
The next three games are at home, but they will not be easy no means.
The Badgers get the Wolverines of Michigan for the first and only time. Up next it’s Purdue and then the Golden Gophers of Minnesota for the first and only time.
Wisconsin has to go to Northwestern and then close things up against Michigan State at home. See, it’s not going to be easy.
If they can take two out of three at home in the middle of February, things will be looking good. The Badger-Wolverine game will be a must win. For both teams.
I see each team being on the bubble at this point. Wisconsin may not necessarily be on the bubble just yet, but in the nearest future yes.

Purdue is tough at home and on the road. Maybe if Bucky’s guards can catch fire, they can keep up with the Boilermakers.
With that win, Wisconsin could lock itself in the NCAA Tournament. This will be one of those games that the Badgers play flawless basketball to boost their resume.
Minnesota will not be easy. This is the only match up the Badgers have against the Golden Gophers and they’re going to want this.
There’s no telling who will be ranked where at this point, but it’s more than likely that Minnesota is higher than the Badgers. The Gophers are just like the Wildcats. They have the talent, it’ll just come down to having the pieces fall into place.
Speaking of the Wildcats here they come at the end of the season. This very well could be where the Badgers get swept. It won’t certainly be ideal, but Northwestern has too much talent for the Badgers to overcome in either game.
Another team that could sweep the Badgers is Michigan State and that’s who Wisconsin concludes with at home. The Spartans could very well be the number one team in the country at this point.

Wisconsin should certainly be in the Tournament, but at least a close, competitive game is a must for Bucky.
21-10 is a very reasonable record after reading this Badger basketball season preview.
A lot of people are going to question it, but we went through the games and there are quite a bit of winnable games that are good resume builders. Let’s now kick back and relax. Time to enjoy some college hoops.
