The “Friendly” In-State Battle

Then there’s that game against the team called the Golden Eagles. Their over hyped big man is gone. The Badgers All-American big man is still in Madison. We’re going to show any border line recruits in the state that the Badgers are still a mainstay in college hoops.

We’re on to some easier opponents as we concluded conference play in this Badger basketball season preview. 9-2 seems like a good possibility and a pretty good start to the season.

The Badgers need that before conference play. They’re all home games. Western Kentucky, Green Bay, Chicago State and UMass-Lowell.

The Hilltoppers finished with a .500 record in Conference USA last season. Two of the three double-digit scorers are gone. They contributed to 65% of their made three-pointers. It’ll be hard for them to score.

It’s been awhile since Wisconsin has lost to Green Bay.  Even that year they lost to Milwaukee and Marquette, yeah, they didn’t even play them. So the Badgers should roll at home.

Chicago State and UMass-Lowell won’t pose threats. These are intended for last minute cupcakes before league play starts. I’m not worried and neither should you.

13-2 as we start conference play for good in this Badger basketball season preview.
