Another Junior this coming season, A.J. Taylor, had a huge Sophomore year in 2017, catching 31 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns.  This came after a Freshman season where Taylor only caught three passes for 53 yards.

Taylor took the reigns in the Orange Bowl  and did not disappoint, catching eight passes for 105 yards and one touchdown.  He seemed to run circles around the Miami defense. If that game is a look into the future, we should see a great second option behind Cephus.

Taylor was a much more sought after recruit than Cephus, collecting 15 offers, including many from Big Ten foes (Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, Maryland and Illinois) as well as Notre Dame.  He was the top recruit out of Missouri as a four-star athlete.

Taylor seemed to have fun choosing Wisconsin over in-state Mizzou, using a monopoly board to announce his decision.  If Taylor has as much fun on the field as it seems he does off of it, he will be a valuable asset on a high powered offense.

And before we move on, let’s take a moment to remember this little gem in the Orange Bowl:
