Wisconsin Badgers football is enjoying the greatest decade in its history. We’ve seen some incredible games through the years. Let’s enjoy a trip down memory lane.
This decade has been the greatest, by far, in Wisconsin football history. Most programs that have seen three coaches (four if you count Barry Alvarez filling in for two bowl games) in eight years wouldn’t be as successful as the Badgers. The culture of the program is as strong as ever and stability has finally arrived within the coaching staff. The coaches are recruiting at a high level and a historic class is in store for 2019.
In the eight seasons since 2010, the first year of three straight that Bret Bielema would have Wisconsin playing in the Rose Bowl, the Badgers have won double-digit games six times. They’ve never had a losing season and set the program record for wins in a season last year with 13 after beating Miami in the Orange Bowl.
Wisconsin’s bowl record is a mild 4-4 since 2010, but currently on a four-game winning streak. Paul Chryst is 3-0 in bowl games after his first three years back in Madison as the head coach. It may be hard to imagine, but Wisconsin’s arrow is still trending upwards.
The hope is to add to this list before 2020 with some championships, but for now, we have a bevy of games to fondly remember. With a couple seasons to go before the decade turns over let’s look back at some of the best games from the last decade so far.
