Wisconsin Footbahasave been putting in a serious amount of time in the gym this off-season.  If the last couple of days are any indication of how successful the Badgers will be this season, fans should be anticipating great things.

As the countdown to the season slowly drags on, the level of anticipation intensifies each day until kickoff.  The behind-the-scenes work that fuels the successes of the best teams around the country also ratchets up.  When national experts and fans are speculating on how the season will play out, these student-athletes are grinding day-after-day trying to perfect their craft.  Look no further than the Wisconsin Badgers who are hard at work attempting to recapture their success from last year.  The Wisconsin Football Twitter account has captured some of the best moments in the weight room.

And it is not just the running backs who are getting in on the fun within the iron paradise.  Players such as Zander Neuville and D’Cota Dixon, players who are coming off injury-ridden seasons, are holding their own as well.

Dixon’s ability to handle that insane amount of weight may not be a surprise to Badger fans or analysts around the country.  He has a reputation of being an absolute beast in the gym ever since he stepped foot on campus.  Neuville’s weight room performances may come as more of a surprise.  The surprise is not that he possesses a high level of strength, it is that he is showcasing that strength coming off of a serious knee injury at the end of last year.  Throwing around that kind of weight after only eight months of rehab shows the kind of dedication Neuville has towards the program.

These small clips showing what it takes for college football players to perform at a high level gives fans like me such an appreciation for what these guys sacrifice on a daily basis.  No one is showcasing that sacrifice more than the Wisconsin Badgers.  The time and effort that is being put into the gym and film room by the Badgers prove that they are a program looking to break into the elite of college football.
