WR Danny Davis III

Overall Rank: 363

We’ve already gotten into the deep weeds of undrafted players. In typical fantasy leagues of 10 teams, with 15 roster spots, somebody ranked as low as Davis will likely go undrafted. His value is as a late-round flier. If Davis gets picked, it’ll probably be by the biggest Badger fan in your league.

Read. ESPN says Danny Davis is most underrated Badger. light

Davis showed out in the Orange Bowl with three touchdown catches, but only had five total on the year. You have to be careful and temper expectations in his case. He has great potential, but he’s going to likely be behind Cephus and will split touches with a very deep group of receivers. Where Davis’ value is you can likely find another receiver who will be part of an offense that’ll pass the ball more and give you a better chance to rack up some yards from an unexpected source.

Davis does have the potential to be a steal though. If you don’t draft him, you should definitely keep an eye on him and see how Wisconsin runs the offense early in the year. If signs point to Paul Chryst willing to air it out a bit more, then he may be worth a pickup if you have an open slot. Likewise, he could be worth a shot against the early season, weaker opponents if you can’t find better options. The Badgers will put up tons of points in the first three weeks and it’s a crapshoot trying to guess where they’ll come from. It’ll likely be on the ground, but it could just as likely be Davis as any other receiver on the roster.
