Week 3 vs BYU

Sam Land

BYU will be looking to bounce back in a big way from its 4-9 record last season, and there is reason to believe the 2018 campaign should be more successful.  The Cougars return a solid running back in senior Squally Canada, along with some nice pieces on defense. That being said, taking down this Wisconsin team at Camp Randall is simply too tall a task for these Cougars.  There is little reason to believe that this won’t be another easy victory for Wisconsin.

Revenge will be on the mind of BYU after the Badgers embarrassed the Cougars in Provo last year.  I expect BYU to come into Camp Randall with guns blazing and looking for a fight.  This will result in a tight first half with Wisconsin only leading by a touchdown going into the break.  However, Jonathan Taylor and the offensive line impose their will in the second half.

The Cougars try to make this game more competitive than last year but still fall at Camp Randall.

Wisconsin 35 – BYU 21

Taylor Laabs

It should be Deja Vu for Hornibrook in the reverse fixture of this two-season matchup. Expect A.J. Taylor and the freshman Aron Cruickshank to shine. BYU keeps it close until half but the Badgers have too much firepower.

This will obviously be the most difficult game of the season to date for the Badgers. BYU will be up for it and ready to go. Wisconsin is just simply better and will show it as the game comes to a close. It may be tight early, but it won’t finish that way.
