Badger of Honor writers predict Wisconsin Football schedule
Week 8 vs Illinois
Sam Land
Wisconsin turned in one of its worst performances of the season in Champaign last season, eking out a 24-10 victory in what should have been a blowout. I wouldn’t bet on the Badgers having that kind of showing this year in Madison. Illinois may win more than 2 games, but make no mistake, this is still one of the worst teams on Wisconsin’s schedule. Wisconsin has won eight straight against Illinois. That streak will not end this season.

Wisconsin will come out of the gate highly motivated after suffering a defeat to Michigan in the previous week. The Badgers will want to make a statement and prove that they are still a CFP team despite the loss to Michigan. The offense will have a field day against a young Illinois defense, showcasing a dominant and balanced attack. After being exposed against Michigan, the Wisconsin secondary re-gains some confidence by stifling the Illini receivers. This one will be over early.
Wisconsin 52 – Illinois 10

Flying high off the win at Michigan, the Badgers continue its hot streak, taking care of the Illini without a problem.
Wisconsin 34 – Illinois 10

A breath of fresh air after a run of three tough games. Badgers cruise without much trouble against the lowly Illini.
Wisconsin 42 – Illinois 7

Poor Illinois has to come to Camp Randall after Wisconsin suffers a brutal loss to Michigan. This is a big game for the Badgers if that’s the case. How do you respond to a crushing loss? The Badgers aren’t the kind of team to let one team beat them twice. Especially against Ilinois. This one gets ugly for the Illini very early.
Wisconsin 49 – Illinois 9
