Wisconsin football will play its game Friday night allowing fans to completely indulge in Saturday’s slate of games.

Assuming everything goes according to plan, Wisconsin football won’t play a super meaningful game until week four when the Badgers travel to Iowa.

Most weekends some Badger fans must choose between attending the Wisconsin game and missing out on other entertaining games, or stay at home to watch the Badgers. But not this weekend. After the Badgers hopefully crush the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky Friday night, we’ll be able to sit on the couch and soak up a great first weekend of college football.

There are several games that other teams will play this weekend that will impact how Wisconsin’s season may unfold. Whether they be an early conference battle or a highly-ranked, non-conference showdown, there are tons of great games available.

College football does a fantastic job of kicking the season off right with several matchups between great teams. Wisconsin was part of this kickoff madness for three-consecutive years when it opened against LSU, Alabama, and LSU, respectively. This year and last, the Badgers have caught a break. And so have we.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the more anticipated matchups of the weekend and just how they will impact Wisconsin’s season going forward. Some are probably games most fans were going to watch already, but there are a couple of others Badger fans might want to tune in for.

Badger of Honor has you covered this week and will keep you posted as the season continues for other games to keep an eye on as they will also impact the Badgers.
