Oregon State at Ohio State

Saturday, September 1st

12:00 p.m. ET

I know what you’re thinking. This game is probably going to be a blowout. Even with Oregon State’s troubles, Ohio State is still opening with a Power 5 opponent, while Penn State, Nebraska, and Michigan State all open against Group of 5 teams.

Another reason this game is of interest is that the Buckeyes will be without Urban Meyer on sidelines. Meyer was recently suspended for the team’s first three games due to his alleged involvement in a domestic violence case with one of his assistant coaches.

The Buckeyes are super talented and still the favorite to demolish the Beavers, but without Meyer on the sideline, there is at least a bit more chance of chaos occurring.

I’m not counting on this game being close, but it’s more interesting because of the Meyer suspension and the fact that Ohio State isn’t opening with a cupcake. Plus, it’s one of the first games of the day on Saturday.

There’s no guarantee Wisconsin will even meet Ohio State this season. Watching the Buckeyes is always interesting for Badger fans though. Whether you hate to love them or love to hate them, eyes are always on Ohio State.
