Everybody’s favorite new Wisconsin Badger is on this list yet again. I talked about Scott Nelson last week because I wanted to see if he could build on his performance from week one and continue to be a menace around the football. And he didn’t disappoint.

In typical Scott Nelson fashion, his number 9 uniform was everywhere. Some of his tackles are still sloppy and result in whiffs, but he’s going in with confidence and that’s what matters. He’s giving himself the chance to grow as a player.

And unlike week one, when he had the chance to step in front of a pass and get an interception, this week, he made the most of it. It’s the first of what should be many interceptions in Nelson’s young Wisconsin career.

Just like Zack Baun has done at the other outside linebacker position, Nelson seems to have made a home for himself in the defense alongside D’Cota Dixon at safety. The defense is coming together and this week is the final test run before Big Ten play.

Nelson is going to be talked about more each week he continues to play well. I may have to put a restriction on how often I can mention him in these posts too.
