No. 19 Oregon at No. 24 Cal

The only team to have a win over BYU is former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox and the Cal Golden Bears. Cal is undefeated, ranked, playing great football, and Oregon is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Stanford. The setting is prime for the upset and for Wilcox to notch his first signature win as a head coach.
This game will be a true battle between the unstoppable force and the immovable object. Cal is fifth in total defense nationally and Oregon is led by one of the top NFL quarterback prospects in the country. If anybody can stop Justin Herbert, it’s Wilcox. If anybody can penetrate that Cal defense, it’s Herbert.
I can’t think of any way this game will impact Wisconsin without connecting a ton of dots through BYU, which isn’t reasonable really, other than I just want to see Justin Wilcox succeed. He was only at Wisconsin for a year and he did great things with that defense. He helped continue the strong defensive culture the Badgers have grown to be proud of and has taken great advantage of his new opportunity in Cal. I’m rooting for Coach Wilcox.
This is the fifth ranked game of the day and an incredible night cap if you’re able to make it this long. Watching 12 hours of college football isn’t for the faint of heart but this game should reward those that are brave enough to watch all the way until the final hours of Saturday night.
