4. WR A.J. Taylor

I don’t think this is too high for a wide receiver on this list. Before unfortunate circumstances led to the Badgers being without Quintez Cephus and Danny Davis, Taylor was going to be a tertiary option in the passing game, at best. He’s stepped up and done more than what has been asked of him while being thrust up the depth chart and he’s a true weapon for the team.

Taylor leads the Badgers in catches (15), receiving yards (294), and receiving touchdowns (2). He’s averaging 19.6 yards per reception, which is 40th nationally. However, of the 39 names above him on the list, only eight have more catches on the season. Taylor’s consistency working down the field is a much-needed addition in this offense.

My favorite part of Taylor’s game is that he consistently shows up in big moments. Last year his biggest games were against Michigan and Miami. His biggest play of the season so far this year? The game-winning touchdown catch against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Taylor is an upperclassman in a very young position group and is showing those younger receivers what kind of success you can have if you’re always ready for your number to be called. I have zero doubt that Taylor will always be able to make a play whenever the Badgers need one. And I’m looking forward to what he does against Michigan this year.
