Wisconsin Football stays hot on the recruiting trail and adds a third player to its 2020 class.

Wisconsin had a large number of recruits on campus over the weekend to take in the Badgers’ victory over Nebraska on Saturday night, and it appears that, as usual, the electric atmosphere in Madison and at Camp Randall had the expected impact on some of the staff’s top targets.

The first domino fell on Sunday evening, with 2019 tight end Clay Cundiff flipping his commitment from Kansas to Wisconsin.

Then, on Monday night, Wisconsin continued its red-hot start to the 2020 recruiting cycle by receiving a commitment from St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL) offensive lineman Dylan Barrett, who announced his pledge on Twitter.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Barrett is a 3-star prospect and currently stands as the No. 25 offensive guard and No. 586 overall player nationally. He chose Wisconsin over other offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, West Virginia, and Western Michigan.

Barrett is another solid addition to what is shaping up to be another outstanding recruiting class for Paul Chryst and his staff, especially on the offensive line, where they already have commitments from two 4-star in-state offensive tackles in Trey Wedig and Jack Nelson. He is listed as a guard by the recruiting services, but the 6’5 prospect has the type of versatility that Wisconsin loves in its linemen. Barrett told 247’s Allen Trieu that assistant coach Joe Rudolph intends to have him play both guard and center.

Taking a look at the offensive linemen Wisconsin has been adding to the program lately, it appears as though the future on the line is extremely bright. In a few years, the Badgers might have the most talented group of linemen they have ever had on the roster with guys like Barrett, fellow 2020 commits Nelson and Wedig, and 2019 commits Logan Brown and Joe Tippmann, not to mention the several talented underclassmen that are currently on the team.

The Badgers may not be done racking up commitments this week, either. 4-star 2019 linebacker Jared Casey visited Madison over the weekend as well and is slated to announce his college decision on Thursday.
