Joe Schobert

Cleveland Browns – LB

If you aren’t watching the Browns every week then you’re missing out on some of the most entertaining professional football out there. The team is young and firey, they flirt with victory and defeat simultaneously, and they play with passion. It’s almost impossible to root against them. Everybody knows their leader on offense is Baker Mayfield. Their leader on defense is Wisconsin’s very own Joe “The Show” Schobert.

Schobert leads the Browns in tackles and has tallied a sack, forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, two quarterback hits, a tackle for loss, five pass deflections, and an interception. That interception was one of the plays that helped the Browns clinch their first win this season over the Jets. Simply put, Schobert is everywhere. It’s safe to say he’s one of the mainstays in this Browns defense.

At Wisconsin, Schobert was one of the best linebackers in the country. He just made things happen. In 2015, he recorded 20 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. He lived in the opponent’s backfield.

It’s no surprise that he’s found a way to succeed in the NFL. He’s just too good at football to not succeed, and it’s why I think guys like T.J. Edwards and Ryan Connelly will see success in the NFL too.
