Jonathan Taylor will have at least two more 200-yard games

Taylor isn’t a new face, but I couldn’t ignore him here. Taylor has run for 200 or more yards twice already this year. If he gets two more, it’ll top his total from last year in which he only had three such games.

This prediction might not even be that bold considering Illinois and Rutgers are on deck along with games against Purdue’s weak defense and Minnesota still on the schedule. But having four games of 200+ rushing yards is no simple feat.

I expect at least one of these 200-yard performances to come in the next three games against Illinois, Northwestern, or Rutgers. Illinois and Rutgers are obviously the likely candidates. Taylor has been running too hard lately and these teams are all too vulnerable. He finally broke a huge run against Nebraska and there was something special about the way he was running against Michigan. He’s finding his groove and he’ still looks as fresh as he did in week one.

The only thing that could get in the way of this prediction not coming true is if the Badgers are beating their opponents too bad. Taylor can absolutely have 170 yards in a game halfway through the third quarter and be sat for the remainder while his team leads 37-7.

As long as he gets consistent run, he’s going to crush the rest of the season. He’s running the best he ever has.
