Wisconsin at Purdue

The final road game, and second-to-last on the schedule this year is against Purdue who is suddenly the most dominant team in the Big Ten after owning Ohio State Saturday night. The Boilermakers didn’t start the season well, but you just had to know they’d end it well. The good news is Jeff Brohm might soon be on his way out of the Big Ten to a new job after this year. And that win probably sealed it.

Things could fall in a way over the next few weeks that could make this game decide the Big Ten West. If Wisconsin takes care of business against Northwestern and Purdue beats Iowa, it might not matter if Wisconsin loses to Penn State and Purdue loses to Michigan State (those being the two difficult matchups left on either schedule).

Wisconsin will have this game on the road the week after playing Penn State. This is the only instance of having two-straight road games on the schedule, and depending on what happens in Happy Valley, it could be tough for the Badgers to be ready for this Boilermakers team.

The good news is we still have a long ways to go before this game is played. If this game were being played this week, my confidence would not be with Bucky. Purdue is just playing too well.
