With just six players currently committed, who are Wisconsin Football’s top remaining targets to add to its 2020 recruiting class?

If you have been following Wisconsin football recruiting, then I don’t need to tell you it has been an extremely slow few months for the Badgers on the trail in the class of 2020 in terms of new commitments.

To be sure, fans should be very pleased with the group that Paul Chryst and his coaching staff have put together so far. Headline by a pair of 4-star studs at offensive tackle in Trey Wedig (Wales, WI) and Jack Nelson (Stoughton, WI), Wisconsin’s six-man class currently ranks a solid No. 27 in the nation and No. 6 in the Big Ten. In addition to Wedig and Nelson, the group currently includes:

  • Wide receiver Chimere Dike (Waukesha, WI)
  • Outside linebacker Cole Dakovich (Waukesha, WI)
  • Offensive guard Dylan Barrett (St. Charles, IL)
  • Offensive lineman Ben Barten (Stratford, WI)

Looking at the class, one observation likely stands out the most: this class is pretty set on the offensive line. Everywhere else? Not so much.

To be sure, this offensive line group is certainly exciting, and Wisconsin fans should feel great about their ability to carry on the program’s incredible success up front. That being said, the Badgers obviously must add some talent at the skill positions on both sides of the ball, in addition to the defensive front seven. This list has been tailored to reflect those needs.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the five players who I feel are Wisconsin’s top priorities at the moment.
