The Badgers have a chance to add a talented receiver when Skyler Bell announces his commitment this Sunday.

The 2021 recruiting class for the Badgers has been an often discussed topic. It is Wisconsin’s highest-rated class since recruiting class rankings have really been a thing since 1999. According to 247 Sports class rankings, Wisconsin is currently ranked 18th in the country and third in the Big Ten, behind Ohio St. and Michigan.

The next highest-rated classes were from the last two years where the Badgers ranked 26th last year and 29th the year before. Since Paul Chryst has come back to Wisconsin, he has continued to recruit well and lead the Badgers to a lot of success. I think a lot of recruits are seeing what this program is doing and want to be a part of that.

Even though the class of 2021 is pretty much filled out, there are still a few spots open. The Badgers are hoping that Skyler Bell will take one of those spots. Bell is a 6-1 receiver out of Watertown, Connecticut who can fly. He may be smaller, but he is very quick and has some nice YAC-ability.

He has 14 scholarship offers and recently cut his list down to a final five that includes Wisconsin, Iowa, Rutgers, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech.  He announced that he will be making his decision this Sunday, August 16th at noon.

He currently has six crystal ball predictions on 247 Sports, and all of them have him going to Iowa, but there murmurs that it may not be a for sure thing. It sounds like his decision will come down to Iowa and Wisconsin. With a couple of days before he announces his commitment, you can bet Wisconsin will be giving one last pitch to get him to come to Madison over their rivals.

While we wait for Bell’s announcement, take a look at his junior highlight tape, “The Juice is Loose! Year 3” via Hudl to see what the Badgers are hoping to bring to Madison.
