The Wisconsin football team just put together their best recruiting class since rankings have existed with their 2021 class. It is the highest-rated class since 2020 when they brought in 5-star OT Logan Brown and quarterback Graham Mertz.

If things go right, they could do it three years in a row with the 2022 class. A lot of the focus of the 2022 class is on players from the state of Wisconsin, including their first commitment, QB Myles Burkett out of Franklin, WI.

Even though Wisconsin is loaded with prospects in this class, the Badgers are also targeting some highly-coveted recruits in other states. One of those recruits is Micah Riley-Ducker, out of Bellevue, Nebraska. That’s right, the Badgers are going into Big Ten-rival Nebraska’s backyard. If Bellevue West sounds familiar, that’s because the Wisconsin basketball team has also been in town. Future Badger point guard, Chucky Hepburn also goes to Bellevue West. In fact, Hepburn and Riley-Ducker are friends, and you better believe Hepburn has been recruiting Riley-Ducker to Madison.

Riley-Ducker was offered by the Wisconsin football team last summer. He announced the offer on his Twitter account.

If Riley-Ducker were to commit to the Badgers, he would be joining Hayden Rucci, Clay Cundiff, Cam Large, Cole Dakovich, and Jack Pugh in the tight end room. He would provide more depth to a position that has been somewhat bare the past few years.

According to MaxPreps.com, Riley-Ducker had 23 receptions for 310 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games during his junior season.

His highlight reel from his junior season on Hudl shows what he can do. Riley-Ducker would provide the Badgers with another receiving threat, but one who can also block, something that is always useful in Wisconsin’s offense. Having the ability to do both will certainly get you on the field sooner, rather than later.

The Badgers did appear in his final 8 teams, but he said things have changed a bit.

He has received offers from Illinois and Tennessee in the past couple of days. He has a total of 26 offers, from schools like Nebraska, Arizona St., Auburn, Florida St., Iowa, Iowa St., Michigan, Louisville, Michigan St., Oregon, Penn St., and more.

It seems like his recruitment is starting to take off a bit, but I think it’s safe to say Wisconsin is still sitting in a good spot.
