3. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are a young, and up-and-coming team in the NFL right now. After years of being at the bottom of the standings, the Browns are finally on the rise. They finished the season 11-5 and third in the competitive AFC North division and made the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

They still have quarterback Baker Mayfield on his rookie contract for another two seasons, so the window to spend on free agents is right now. J.J. Watt is a perfect example of what the Browns should be looking for. It’s no secret that Watt’s production is down, but injuries have been a big part of that. A two-year contract would add some veteran leadership to the locker room and another pass-rushing threat opposite of Myles Garrett.

The Browns also have about $30 million in cap space, so they would be able to spend a little on Watt. It would get him back into the Midwest and playing for a possible contender.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers could arguably be number one on this list. The Steelers won the AFC North last season but were knocked out of the playoffs right away by the Browns, their division rival. Now, they are looking to restock and make another run at a Super Bowl. That alone should be appealing to Watt, but I think it’s pretty obvious what would bring him to Pittsburgh.

Both of his brothers, Derek and T.J. Watt are currently on the Steelers. T.J. is quickly becoming one of the best pass-rushers in the league and finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting behind Aaron Donald.

Being able to play with not just one, but both brothers in the NFL would be a dream come true for any player. That alone would be worth taking less money. Playing with your brothers and contending for a Super Bowl? It doesn’t get much better than that.
