The Wisconsin football team is in a position to have their highest-rated recruiting class for their third-straight year. The 2021 class is currently the highest class in program history, bringing in players like Nolan Rucci, Hunter Wohler, TJ Bollers, and more.

Now they have a shot at topping that class. In the state of Wisconsin, there are a handful of prospects that are considered some of the top prospects in the country. Early-enrollee Braelon Allen was a part of that group before he reclassified to the 2021 class. The Wisconsin football team already has one commit from the state as a part of the 2022 class in quarterback Myles Burkett.

Another in-state target for the Wisconsin football team is Isaac Hamm. Hamm is considered a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He is the 238th overall prospect in the country, the 13th strong-side defensive end, and the 5th rated recruit in Wisconsin.

Hamm is 6-5 and comes in 260 pounds. He plays for Sun Prairie High School in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. According to Wissports.net, in his 2019 season, his sophomore season, Hamm recorded 37 total tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception in nine games. His junior season was postponed to the spring due to the covid pandemic. His spring season is scheduled to kick off on March 26th against Madison La Follette.

Hamm has nine scholarship offers from mostly Big Ten schools. Along with Wisconsin, Ohio St., Penn St., Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Purdue have all offered. Notre Dame has also offered Hamm.

In November, Hamm trimmed his list down to his final four, which includes Wisconsin, Ohio St., Penn St., and Wisconsin.

If you follow Wisconsin football recruiting, you may remember he and now-2021 class safety Braelen Allen, had a lifting competition. If Allen won, Hamm would commit to Wisconsin. It was a fun back-and-forth on Twitter. Allen won the wager, but understandably, Hamm didn’t want to commit anywhere yet because it was too big of a decision.

Currently, on 247Sports’ Crystal Ball prediction, Wisconsin is favored to land Hamm from three predictions. Hamm would be a big fish for the Badgers. Another defensive playmaker to add to Leonhard’s’ defense would help ensure the unit remains one of the tops in the country.
