Week 10 – Wisconsin at Rutgers

This is another game the Badgers just have to win. By now, the Badgers have an 8-0 record and are surely locked in. Tripping up against Rutgers would be detrimental to their goals. Rutgers is often viewed as a bottom-feeder in the Big Ten. I don’t expect that to change this season either.

Wisconsin has played Rutgers just three times, winning all three games. They’ve played in New Jersey once, in 2014 when they defeated the Scarlet Knights 37-0 on the road.

I don’t think it will be that easy, but I am very confident the Badgers will come out of this game with a comfortable victory.

Prediction: Wisconsin 31 – Rutgers 13
Record: 9-0

Week 11 – Wisconsin vs. Northwestern

I always feel better about playing Northwestern when the game is at Camp Randall. In the past four seasons, the home team came away with the victory. These games are always ugly, and you need a solid defense to win ugly games.

While Northwestern is sure to have another good defense, I think the Badgers’ defense is even better. Also, I think Wisconsin’s offense is much better than Northwestern’s. I have the Badgers winning by single digits, pulling away at the end of a very close game.

Prediction: Wisconsin 27 – Northwestern 18
Record: 10-0

Week 12 – Wisconsin vs. Nebraska

The Badgers and Cornhuskers missed their chance to play last season because of players being out due to covid. The Cornhuskers have been a big disappointment since Scott Frost took over, and I don’t see that changing this season. I think Nebraska finishes near the bottom of the division again this season.

With the game being at home, I don’t see Wisconsin losing to Nebraska. The Badgers will continue their winning streak against Huskers and push it to 8-straight wins over their Big Ten ‘rivals.’ The Badgers will win on Senior Day and head into Axe Week undefeated and motivated to keep the Axe in Madison for another year.

Prediction: Wisconsin 35 – Nebraska 17
Record: 11-0
