There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming Notre Dame-Wisconsin football game this Saturday. College GameDay will be there before kickoff, which is always fun for Wisconsin football fans.

This game is also FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff game, where they also send a pregame crew to broadcast on location to get fans ready for the game. FOX Big Noon Kickoff was also in Madison in Week 1 for the Badgers’ matchup with Penn State. This is all fun for fans to be a part of, but if you are going to the game this weekend, there is one more event that may pique the interest of both Wisconsin and Notre Dame fans.

The Discover Big Ten Experience is an event that is going on outside of Soldier Field before the game. At this event, fans will be able to partake in some fun activities, like showing off their touchdown celebrations in front of friends, family, and social media followers. The event will have a platform with a rotating, slow-motion camera so fans can create a custom video that they can upload to their social media. Fans will also be able to pose next to a ‘larger-than-life’ replica of the Big Ten trophy.

On top of that, former Wisconsin football star Joe Thomas will make an appearance to meet with fans. Joe Thomas is considered one of the best offensive linemen of all time. He was a two-time All-American at Wisconsin and the winner of the Outland Trophy in 2006. He was the first Wisconsin football player to win the award in program history. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Football Hall of Fame in 2019.

Thomas will be available to meet with fans from 9:00 – 10:00 AM to hang out with fans.

Notre Dame will be represented by the former running back, Jerome Bettis. Bettis will be available to meet with fans from 9:45 – 10:45 AM.

The entire event lasts from 8:00 – 11:00 AM and is free to attend at the Great Lawn on the East side of Soldier Field.

If you are going to the game and looking for something to do before kickoff, there are a lot worse things to do than meet Joe Thomas.
