The Wisconsin football team is on a three-game winning streak and has a winning record for the first time in 2021!

They have a big this weekend against the #9 Iowa Hawkeyes in a contest that could very well decide the winner of the Big Ten West division.

Wisconsin vs. Iowa odds for Week 9:

Opening up the week, the Badgers are 3-point favorites, according to WynnBET. The moneyline also favors Wisconsin, with -165 odds on the Badgers to win the game outright while the Hawkeyes odds are at +140.

The over/under for this game is probably the lowest of the season for a Badger game this year. With the two solid defense and not-so-stellar offenses, the over/under for this game is set at just 37 points.

Wisconsin Injury Report vs. Iowa for Week 9:

The preliminary injury report for Week 9 is a lengthy one, especially at the tight end position.

Questionable: TE Clay Cundiff, TE Jake Eschenbach, OLB Spencer Lytle, ILB Mike Maskalunas, CB Alexander Smith, ILB Jordan Turner

Out: TE Cam Large, TE Hayden Rucci, OLB Arron Witt

Out for the season: CB Al Ashford, TE Cole Dakovich, LS Duncan McKinley, RB Isaac Guerendo, Deron Harrell.

Wisconsin vs. Iowa Prediction for Week 9:

From the beginning of the season, this was the game a lot of Badger fans had circled on the schedule. Sure, the Badgers have had somewhat of a down year, but they are still in the running for the Big Ten West title, and their biggest obstacle is sitting right in front of them this week.

I was a big pessimist last week, not understanding why the Badgers were favored over the Boilermakers. Instead, the Badgers went on the road and not only covered the spread but thoroughly dominated the Boilermakers in the second half of the game.

I’m not going to make the same mistake this week. My confidence in the Badgers is as high as it has been in a while and I think they have a lot of momentum heading into this game. Iowa had a bye last week, but they are still coming off a 24-7 loss to those same Purdue Boilermakers in Week 7. Between the momentum and the game being played at home, I think the Badgers (-3) will win the game and cover the spread.

That prediction is mostly based on how out of their minds the defense is playing. Purdue gave a nice blueprint on how to beat Iowa: pressure the quarterback. I think the Badgers are more than capable of doing that, especially with Leo Chenal playing the way he has the past few games.

So since this will be a big defensive game, I’d take the under on the 37 over/under (-115; bet $115 to make $100).

My early prediction for this game would be something like 20-10 in favor of Wisconsin.
