The Wisconsin football team continues to win games and is now the only team in the Big Ten West that is in control of its own destiny. They will host the 3-7 (1-6) Nebraska Cornhuskers at Camp Randall this weekend.

A win this weekend against the Cornhuskers will give the Badgers a chance to clinch the division next weekend win a win over Minnesota.

Wisconsin vs. Nebraska Prediction for Week 12:

I’m sure the Badgers aren’t looking past Nebraska this week, but I can’t help but feel like this is a sort of trap game. The Cornhuskers have nothing to play for other than causing chaos. They will miss a bowl game this season, so they have two weeks left to play.

The way Wisconsin has beaten them over the years, I’m sure there’s nothing they’d like more than to take down the Badgers and potentially spoil their plans to win the Big Ten West. With Iowa beating Minnesota last week, they are still in the running. A Wisconsin loss to Nebraska would put Iowa in the driver’s seat.

Fortunately, I think the coaching staff won’t let the players look past this game. Everyone in that building knows what’s at stake this weekend and I don’t think they are going to take the Huskers lightly.

I like the spread, especially with the way the defense is playing for the Badgers. Assuming Braelon Allen stays healthy, it’s hard to see the Huskers slowing him down too. The offense is getting going at the right time. With it being the last home game of the season, the Badgers will send their seniors (and players leaving early for the draft) out the right way.

I think the Badgers win, cover the point spread, and hit the over.
