After an exciting win over Texas A&M yesterday, the Wisconsin basketball team will move onto the next round of the Maui Invitational today and take on the #12 Houston Cougars. The Cougars played Butler yesterday, dispatching the Bulldogs 70-52.

If the Badgers want to beat Houston today, they are going to have to do what they did yesterday and more. This Houston team is a lot better than A&M. They are going to have to slow down Marcus Sasser, who is averaging 19.8 points per game this season, and shooting 46% from three this season.

Prediction time. At the end of the day, I think this Houston team is more experienced and talented than this Wisconsin team is right now. I love the youth of the Badgers, but they are still learning how to play together, and until they can consistently hit shots from deep, I’m not confident they can win games like this.
