The Wisconsin Badgers are on the road tonight against the #3 Purdue Boilermakers tonight. The Badgers have played just one game in the past two weeks due to covid cases in both the Badgers’ program and opposing teams’ programs.

The Badgers are coming off a narrow victory over Illinois State at home and now much play at Mackey Arena, a place they have struggled mightily, to play the no. 3 team in the nation.

I think the Badgers are going to have their hands full tonight. Not only will they have to play one of the top teams in the country that is loaded with talent, but they will also have to play at Mackey Arena, a house of horrors for the Badgers. Wisconsin hasn’t defeated Purdue there since 2014 and is 5-42 all-time at the venue. Their last win came against North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament last year, so not even against Purdue.

With such a youthful team, I think it’s going to be very difficult for the Badgers to get a win on the road, especially with how they have been playing lately.

I’m sure Johnny Davis will come ready to play and hopefully, Davison can get hot tonight, but the Badgers are still desperately looking for that third scoring threat. Steven Crowl put up 21 points against Illinois State, but will he be able to continue that play? It could be tough especially with Purdue trotting 7’4″ Zach Edey out there.

Unfortunately for the Badgers, I think this could be a rough one. I’d take Purdue covering, the moneyline, and the over tonight.
