The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to get back in the win column after a big home loss to Michigan State last week. The Badgers fell to #11 in the poll, dropping three spots.

They will have a good shot at picking up another win this afternoon as they travel to Nebraska to take on the 6-13 (0-8) Cornhuskers. The Huskers are losers of six straight games and have lost 11 of their last 12 games.

This is the perfect chance for a get-right game for the Badgers, especially if they are going to be without forward Tyler Wahl another game after he missed the Michigan State game with an ankle injury he suffered against Northwestern.

Wisconsin vs Nebraska Odds: Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under

The Badgers are considered 7.5-point favorites over Nebraska in tonight’s game according to the latest odds from WynnBET. The odds that the Badgers cover the point spread are -115 (bet $115 to win $100). The odds the Huskers cover the spread are set at -105.

The moneyline for this game favors the Badgers to win outright, regardless of the score. The odds for the Badgers are -300 (bet $300 to win $100). The moneyline for the Spartans is at +240 (bet $100 to win $240).

The over/under for this game is set at 145 points. The odds for both the over and the under are set at -110.

Wisconsin vs Nebraska Prediction Tonight

I’m not going to lie, this game worries me a bit. The Huskers are desperate for a win and now have guard Bryce McGowens back after he’s missed a lot of time with a foot injury. His first game back was in their last game against Indiana, where he dropped 20 points in a 78-71 loss to Indiana at home.

We’ve seen this year that Wisconsin has a tendency to play at their opponent’s level. They have been in a ton of close games, including a tight 89-85 win over Illinois St. They let lesser teams back into games or hang around. Hopefully, this won’t be one of those games.

There’s a ton going on off the court for the Badgers. Wahl is nursing his injured foot and his status for tonight is still TBD and then there’s Chucky Hepburn. Hepburn is back in his home state to face the Huskers for the first time and he is doing it with a heavy heart.

There are plenty of distractions for this Wisconsin basketball team.

At the end of the day, however, I think the Badgers just have too much talent and size. After a forgettable game for Johnny Davis where he scored 25 points but on 8/20 shots against Michigan State, I think he’ll take over tonight and have a big game.

I could see this game being somewhat close until the Badgers get up big in the middle of the second half.

I’d take the points (Wisconsin -7.5), but I think I’d take the under. The Badgers’ defense should be able to stifle the Cornhuskers, who are an even worse three-point shooting team than the Badgers.
