The Wisconsin football team is not done with their 2022 recruiting class quite yet. With National Signing Day coming tomorrow, the Badgers are getting some work done at the last second. Despite bringing in receiver Keontez Lewis from the transfer portal and even switching cornerback Dean Engram to wide receiver, the Wisconsin football team is still adding to the position.

They received a commitment from Chris Brooks Jr., a 6’3″ receiver from St. Louis, Missouri who had previously been committed to Yale.

Brooks joins Vinny Anthony and Tommy McIntosh as receivers in the 2022 class.

According to 247Sports, Brooks is a 3-star receiver and is ranked 199th at his position. Brooks had 10 offers from a handful of MAC and Ivy League schools. The Badgers were the lone Power 5 school to offer Brooks a scholarship.

The addition of Brooks moves the Badgers up three spots in the 247Sports class rankings to the 44th spot. In the move up, they jump Minnesota, UCF, and Illinois. They also jump from 12th in the Big Ten to 10th.

According to St. Louis Post Dispatch, Chris Brooks caught 49 passes for 959 yards and scored 21 touchdowns in his senior season. He was the Metro Catholic Conference co-offensive player of the year and was also a Class 6 first-team all-state selection by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.

You can see Brooks’ senior highlights on his Hudl page here.

Brooks’ commitment to the Badgers brings the class total to 15 players, not including the incoming transfers.
