In a game that was a must-win for any postseason dreams, Wisconsin basketball traveled to Penn State and emerged victorious, 79-74 in an OT thriller.

Wisconsin Basketball highlights

From the opening tip, Wisconsin basketball looked like it was on a mission. Four out of the five starters for the Badgers scored in the double-digits, with Chucky Hepburn as the game-leader with 19. Connor Essegian was right behind him with 18 points.

Tyler Wahl, still suffering lingering effects from his ankle injury, posted a stat line that consisted of16-point, six rebounds, and eight assists. The eight dimes he dished out is a career-high, with his previous best having been six against Ohio State last season.

Steven Crowl was a perfect five for five from the field for 11 points. Just as important, he led the Badgers with eight rebounds, with four of those coming in the 4:20 of the game.  He also contributed four assists as Wisconsin basketball continues to exploit the double-teaming of its big man.

Led by the sharp shooting of Hepburn (5-9, 55.5%) and Essegian (4-7 57.1%), the Badgers shot an impressive 11-24 from long range. Perhaps just as impressive, they held the Nittany Lions to 9-23 (39.1%) from beyond the arc.
