3 Bold Predictions for Wisconsin vs No. 9 Arizona

The Badgers enter tonight's matchup against No. 9 Arizona undefeated, but unranked. A win against the Wildcats could change that, but can Wisconsin pull it off? Here are three bold predictions of how the night could go.

Both Teams Score 85+

Coming into the game, Wisconsin averages 83 points per game and Arizona averages a blistering 97. It's early in the season, but it's obvious both teams have offenses that can heat up in a hurry. Arizona hasn't played any tough competition yet, but their margin of victory is 43.5 points, meaning if Wisconsin gets off to yet another slow start, things could get out of hand. However, every Badger starter averages double-digits, and they'll need all of that to keep up with the Wildcats. The winner of this game will probably get close to 100 points.

Badgers Get Out Rebounded 2-to-1

The Wildcats are the number one rebounding team in the country, averaging 51 per game. Wisconsin is a mere 126th with 37 boards per game, so they could have issues on the glass against Arizona. Forward Tobe Awaka grabs 12 per game, so Steven Crowl and Nolan Winter will have their hands full all night. Still, it seems like too much of an ask, and there's a chance that Arizona doubles up Wisconsin on the glass, leading to an easy win.

Xavier Amos Lights It Up From Off The Bench

Transfer Xavier Amos has only played sparingly this year and has yet to make a big impact offensively. At just nine minutes and four points per game, he's still searching for a chance to shine. Tonight could provide the perfect opportunity for the forward to introduce himself to the Wisconsin fans. Amos shot 39% from beyond the arc last year for Northern Illinois, and the Badgers could use some of his length and shooting ability in a game sure to be a shootout.
