The Big Ten released the conference schedule yesterday for all the Big Ten men's and women's teams. Wisconsin has an interesting schedule, and while all fans will find ways to nitpick their schedule, Wisconsin seems to have a few things working against them in the way this schedule was laid out. Here are three things to hate and two things to love.

3 things to hate about the Wisconsin basketball schedule
1. February on the road
Let's start with the reality that the schedule in February is brutal. There are seven games in that month, and five of them are on the road, including a cross-country trip to the Pacific Northwest. Those games are going to be important, and yet, the Badgers are getting flown all over the country.
2. Purdue home game with students on break
Can we talk about the winter break scheduling for a second? Especially that Purdue home game when there are no classes in session. Talk about a terrible break. One of the best teams in the country will be coming to Madison at a time when there aren't students on campus...brutal.
3. Ending at Purdue on Senior Night
While we're discussing the Purdue schedule, the Boilermakers are one of the two Big Ten teams that the Badgers play twice. This year, both games are scheduled to favor Purdue over Wisconsin. The first, you can see above, but the second is the final game of the year at Mackey on senior night for the Boilermakers. However, Greg Gard will see it as an opportunity.
2 things to love about the Wisconsin basketball schedule
1. Minnesota in January
There are some who don't love that the two games with Minnesota happen within a 15-day span, but it's kind of a vibe. Taking the Golden Gophers out early and often is always a good move.
2. The California schools come to Madison
There weren't a ton of amazing things about this schedule, but not having the road trip to California this year is a plus. Considering the Badgers did it last year, it's their turn to come to the frozen tundra and have to play on the Badgers' court.
