The Wisconsin Badgers enter this offseason with a serious wide receiver dilemma. The Badgers lost two wideouts, Jayden Ballard and Vinny Anthony II, to graduation. Three wideouts, Eugene Hilton Jr., Trech Kekahuna, and Joseph Griffin Jr., all entered the transfer portal. As a result, Chris Brooks Jr, who finished with 124 receiving yards, has the most receiving yards among wide receivers going into 2026. Recently, Wisconsin has been in contact with former Oklahoma wide receiver Jayden Gibson, but the Badgers must continue adding depth at the receiver position for next season.
Here are three wide receivers the Wisconsin Badgers should target in the transfer portal:
Danny Scudero

San Jose State transfer Danny Scudero would be an instant upgrade at the wide receiver position. The former Spartan completed an All-American season with 1,291 receiving yards, the most among wide receivers in college football. In addition, Scudero hauled in 88 receptions this season, fourth-most in college football. Scudero Jr. possesses elite speed, with a 4.38 40-yard dash time, and crisp route-running to create separation from defensive backs. It will be a challenge to get Scudero to Madison, but what a weapon he would be in Jeff Grimes' offense.
Nico Brown
First I want to thank God, Yale, my coaches, and my teammates for everything over these past four years. I’m grateful for the support, growth, and relationships that have shaped me on and off the field.

With that, I’m officially entering the transfer portal as a graduate… pic.twitter.com/gQoRjpzLST
After missing the 2023 season with an injury and appearing in only three games for the Yale Bulldogs, Brown had a tremendous 2025 season. The six-foot senior from Huntington Beach finished with 1,085 receiving yards, which ranked ninth at the FCS level, and his 108.5 yards per game was the highest in the nation. Those stats were enough for Brown to be named a Walter Camp FCS All-American.
Nick Marsh
BREAKING: Michigan State star WR Nick Marsh plans to enter the @TransferPortal, per his agent @allantegardner

The 6’3 215 WR totaled 100 receptions for 1,311 Yards & 9 TDs in his 2 seasons with the Spartans ⁰⁰Will be one of the Top Portal WRs ⁰⁰https://t.co/RlUbB6Fk7q pic.twitter.com/4GtRZZkk20
The Badgers have not been afraid to land receivers from Big Ten rivals, such as Ohio State’s Jayden Ballard and Michigan State’s Tyrell Henry. Wisconsin should look again at a Big Ten team, as Nick Marsh is one of the most coveted transfers out there in Michigan State’s Nick Marsh. Marsh is a big-bodied receiver at 6-foot-3, 203 pounds, and has been the Spartans’ leading receiver since arriving in East Lansing in 2024. Marsh, like Scudero Jr., is expected to receive interest from multiple teams this offseason. Perhaps the Badgers can shell out the big bucks for players such as Marsh.
