6 Wisconsin transfers have already found new homes

Wisconsin has been one of the most active teams in the early days of the transfer portal window. In reality, they had to be after losing 20 players themselves. Now six if those transfers have already found new homes as well. Here's where the former Badgers have ended up so far.

Billy Edwards Jr. and Trech Kekahuna reunite at North Carolina

Both Billy Edwards Jr. and Trech Kekahuna have transferred to Bill Belichick and UNC. The duo never got much of a chance to link up at Wisconsin after Edwards Jr. got injured in the first game of the season. They hooked up for just two total completions in Madison. Now, they'll have another chance to re-connect with the Tar Heels.

Geimere Latimer joins his brother at West Virginia

After the Badgers lost the commitment of running back Amari Latimer to the Mountaineers, it was only a matter of time before Geimere followed suit. It's probably the least surprising transfer, but it left the Badgers very thin at cornerback. Luckily, Luke Fickell has secured some quality newcomers already.

Preston Zachman heads to Indiana

Zachman would have been a starter once again for Wisconsin, but surprisingly opted for a transfer instead. He'll join Curt Cignetti and red hot Hoosier team to end his college career.

Jake Renfro keeps the Madison to Champaign pipeline alive

Renfo will play his seventh season of college football for Illinois, and is yet another Badger to leave for Bret Bielema's squad over the years. Last year, three Badgers made the move south, but Wisconsin has yet to steal away any Illini in that same timeframe.

Tackett Curtis reunites with Alex Grinch at UCF

The Badger linebacker has joined forces once again with former Badger assistant Alex Grinch. Grinch is now the defensive coordinator for UCF, and he overlapped with Curtis both at USC and Wisconsin. Third time's the charm?
