There's been a lot of talk about a culture shift for Wisconsin football. Luke Fickell has been the driving voice behind it, bringing in former players like JJ Watt to speak to the team. Fickell went into the transfer portal to find players that fit a culture he wants to see at Wisconsin, and in a two-second clip posted yesterday, it seems like one of those transfers is implementing that culture perfectly.
Graduate student, Mason Reiger, a transfer from Louisville, was seen with true freshman Mason Posa after practice was concluded and most players were off to shower and other activities. Reiger was showing Posa some outside linebacker moves and teaching Posa how to rush the passer more effectively.
While talking with DC Mike Tressel today, we could see OLB Mason Reiger working on pass rushing moves with FR LB Mason Posa. Came about 25 mins after practice.

Notable to see an older guy that will spend just a year here taking some ownership for what he’s going to leave behind pic.twitter.com/me8gB7x5sL
Mason Reiger teaching Mason Posa after practice is a breath of fresh air
At the end of last season, when the Badgers lost five straight Big Ten games to miss a chance at a bowl game, it was about the time when Fickell started saying the culture needed to shift. The thing about Fickell that endears him to the fans still in his corner is that he doesn't settle. He has relentlessness about him that won't just be fine with the status quo.
In those five games, he realized some important things. He needed a better offense, a ready-to-go backup QB, a bigger defensive line, and a culture of players that wanted to help each other. Besides football itself, a major camp goal has been that culture.
The team is getting points for cheering each other on and lifting each other up. Defensive coordinator Mike Tressel talked about how they want to see players celebrating each other to the point where it feels like you made the play.
The clip of Reiger and Posa is important for this culture. Reiger is a graduate student with only one year to put his head down and make it to the NFL. To tear up the Big Ten and make waves. However, he is taking the time with a true freshman. This is the culture Luke Fickell wants to see at Wisconsin football.
