The Wisconsin Badgers and head coach Luke Fickell have added a new 2026 recruit to the class: 4-star WR Zion Legree. Legree was previously committed to Ole Miss but decommitted about three weeks ago to check out his other 20+ offers. After a visit to Madison, Wisconsin was able to close the deal and get him to commit to being a Badger.

4-star WR Zion Legree has committed to play for the Wisconsin Badgers
This basically completes the trade with Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss, as a few weeks ago, Kiffin was able to get Carmelow Reed to flip his commitment from the Badgers to the Rebels. This was a blow to Wisconsin as Reed was the highest-rated recruit in the Wisconsin 2026 class at the time (by 24/7 Sports). However, some could say the trade is complete now that Legree has committed to the Badgers. Even though that's not really a thing, but it feels like it.
Legree is known for his speed. He ran a 4.35 40-yard dash as a junior and can absolutely blow the top off of coverages. He is a 3-star recruit by 24/7 Sports and On3.com but gets the coveted 4-star rating from Rivals, which is probably more true to his actual offer list.
Legree had 20+ offers from all over the country, including Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Washington, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Kentucky, and many more. He was a highly desirable wide receiver with raw talent and incredible speed.
He's an athlete from Destin, Florida, listed at 5'11 "and 190 lbs. He will spend his senior season preparing to help the Badgers starting in 2026.
