4-star Amari Latimer, one of Wisconsin's top targets and one of the only blue-chip commits for the 2026 class, showed up to Wisconsin's big win over Illinois on Saturday. He was decked out in all Wisconsin gear and was on the field celebrating after it was over. His appearance, interactions with fans, and celebrations after are giving hope to Wisconsin fans about his commitment status.
There's been worry and rumors that he was going to flip (and still could) to Ohio State, Tennessee, or even Georgia. However, at least on Saturday, he was still firmly a Wisconsin Badger.

As of right now, 24/7 has four crystal balls for him to stay a Wisconsin commit, but that wasn't always the case. Earlier this season, he was crystal-balled (which is their way of giving a solid prediction) to Ohio State. On3.com still has him as a 55.9% probability to be a Buckeye, with Wisconsin only at 28.3%.
While Ohio State has been considered the most likely flip, it's been hard for pundits to rule out his home-state team of Georgia. He's visited both locations but was on hand to watch Wisconsin pull off the upset over Illinois.
You know what else he watched in person? Wisconsin committed to the run game, and he saw not only Darrion Dupree go over 100 yards and rip off an 83-yard touchdown, but Wisconsin put together a rushing attack with over 200 yards on the ground.
That has to go a long way for the player who is considering all his options. Dressed out in Wisconsin garb, celebrating with his brother and family on the field afterwards, and not indicating a flip at all, gives hope to Badger fans.
