The Minnesota Golden Gophers scrapped and clawed to stay in the game against Wisconsin, but the Badgers did what they do best, they closed the game out at the free-throw line. The final score being 74-67. As the game was fully in hand, Badger fans took over the Barn with loud chants "Let's Go Badgers!" that could be heard clearly through the TV, to the point that the announcers mentioned it.

The Wisconsin Badgers notch their ninth straight win against the Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Badgers continue to dominate the Gophers in another big win for Wisconsin over their border rival in Minnesota. The Golden Gophers haven't won a game against the Badgers since February 5th, 2020. That's utter dominance for the Badgers and goes to show not only why Wisconsin fans take over Minnesota's arena but also why Gopher fans aren't going to stick around and hear it.

John Blackwell was the player of the game for the Badgers notching a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. He was all over the place and one could argue that he sealed the deal for the Badgers when he got an and-1 call after an aggressive play to the rim. He was fired up after that and the chants began.

John Tonje had 18 points and seven rebounds, but he played fewer minutes than he typically does as he was dealing with foul trouble throughout the evening. He looked explosive and decisive. What Greg Gard would be happy to see, aggressive to the basket.

It was another game without Max Klesmit and the hope is that he will return for senior night at Kohl Center when the Badgers take on the Penn State Nittany Lions. He has been dealing with an injury that had him in a walking boot during the last game, but tonight in Minnesota he could be seen on the bench in street clothes and tennis shoes.
