Update: Wisconsin has officially announced his signing with the Badgers.

When the full transfer list was released from Wisconsin, fans were quick to point out that one name was missing. Louisville quarterback transfer Deuce Adams was not listed among the 32 names that will be joining the team in 2026, prompting fans to worry. Jesse Temple cleared up the situation somewhat on the latest episode of The Camp, and it should give fans some peace of mind.

"He's here, he's on campus," said Temple. " This appears to be a contract situation. I don't know exactly why you get this late in the process and not be signed, but from what I'm told it's tying up loose ends. I can't tell you what the hold up is, this makes no sense to me whatsoever. "

Badgers are still waiting on some contract issues before promising QB gets going

It's certainly on odd situation, but really, with this new world of NIL is anything normal anymore? it's made even weirder considering the signal-caller initially committed over two weeks ago. Wisconsin added Deuce Adams all the way back on Jan. 8. He completed 15 of 21 passes for 112 yards last season, and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

While Colton Joseph will start for the Badgers, Adams will provide more depth to go along with Carter Smith. And while his current situation seems to be a bit unsettled, there's been no indication that Adams won't eventually join the Badgers. Once signed, Badger fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their QB room is finalized.

Hopefully the contract issue is resolved sooner rather than later and the Badgers can get him rolling when spring practice comes around. It will be interesting to see who ends up winning the backup job to Joseph after Smith's heroics against Washington and Illinois in 2025.
