Summer is here, and with that comes little updates and teasers for what fall could bring. Badger football will face a brutal schedule this year, and we now know the dates and times for their first three games of the season.

Badgers' season opener will keep fans up late

Wisconsin will open up the season against Miami (OH) on Thursday August 28th at 8:00PM on Big Ten Network. Oof. As if a Thursday game wasn't bad enough, we now know it'll kickoff very late with the game ending probably sometime around 11:00PM. The Badgers have had solid success in these night openers, despite the fans' hesitations. It's not an ideal way to start the year, but hey, you have to be ready to play in any conditions.

The Badgers will take on Middle Tennessee the following week in a 3:00PM kickoff on FS1. Nothing much to complain about here as Wisconsin should take care of business in a packed Camp Randall. It will be the first matchup ever between the two schools.

Wisconsin will then take on Alabama in an 11:00AM game down in Tuscaloosa on ABC. This will be a monster game and the 11:00AM start may play into the Badgers favor. In a rematch of last season's blowout loss at Camp Randall, the Badgers will face another uphill climb on the way to victory as the Tide figure to be a top 10 team. Hopefully Wisconsin enters the week 2-0 and can pull off some magic on the road.
