After an official visit last weekend, the Badgers' top target is now taking another visit this weekend. Four-star running back Amari Latimer is making a return trip to Madison for an unofficial visit just days after his official this past weekend.

Star running back Amari Latimer sets return to trip Wisconsin

This is great news for Wisconsin fans, who have been hoping for a commitment from Latimer for some time now. The Badgers made his top six list a few weeks ago along with Florida State, Tennessee, Michigan, Texas and Georgia, and a few predictions from the media have begun to trickle in for Latimer commitment to Wisconsin. His brother Geimere, a cornerback out of Jacksonville State, transferred to Wisconsin during the winter transfer portal cycle.

Latimer has long been the Badgers' top running back target in the 2026 class, and a commitment from him would make a formidable backfield with Dilin Jones and Darrion Dupree. The star running back still has official visits with other schools planned as of now, but it's extremely promising that he is already coming back to Madison for a second visit in as many weeks. Latimer would be the top-rated recruit so far in the class if he joins Luke Fickell and Wisconsin.

So far the Badgers' 2026 class has 11 commitments, and notably no running backs as Wisconsin has made Latimer their sole focus. It ranks 28th in the country, and adding a top-25 running back would give the class a huge boost and solidify the position for years to come.
